Ever Changing.

We (humans) are like Chameleons: We adapt to our surroundings. Like Mr. Stark said (not word for but close enough), we speak Ebonics or Spanglish or whatever other language when we’re at home but out in the real world, what is the “norm” we speak standard English, -well at least we’re supposed to.

Now, I know some white and Hispanic people who have been around black people and try to “act” black by saying “nigga” or trying to rap and what not, just to TRY to fit in. But lets be REAL, they’re not black they’re white or Latino, and white people are usually skateboarding, right? And Hispanics are usually eating beans and tortillas? Am I right?

Ee’da’s video shows us the cold hard truth on how people think. Society makes us wanna change into something that we really aren’t. The question I always ask myself is “Do we really ever find ourselves if we are constantly trying to change our appearances whether its physical, mental or emotional? Do we really know who we are?”

In my opinion no ones ever happy because we always want to conform to society and the ever evolving world with technology, trends, fads, fashion, social groups, etc. No one’s ever satisfied with one another because in reality nobody’s perfect. So if nobody’s perfect, then that makes all of us a somebody, right?

Musical Expression

I have a blog on Entertainment as the topic. Entertainment comes in all forms such as music, art, movies, theater, etc. Many of us enjoy the same forms but in its sub categories such as music, whether it’s rap, soul, reggae, or the other many genres that are out here.

Recently, a Pop artist by the name of Pink released a song titled appropriately “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”. Pink has been around for many years, and has a reputation established. Pink is known is known for her bad-chick, hardcore lyrics and attitude. Like she takes no shit from anyone.

The song’s main topic is obviously about a relationship ending, in other words a break up. I know exactly how she feels when she sings this songs because when I’ve had past break ups the only thing that I’ve wanted to do was just say “F--- you, bye” basically. She expresses her self by cursing, which in this case it used negatively. She also (as seen in the video), throws her glass of wine to the guy to show how upset at the fact that he is on the phone while they’re on their picnic date.

Everyone goes through a break up at least once in their life; alot of us more than 3. Love at any age is very sensitive and difficult and comes with its obstacles, and at the end of the day, before we die, we all desire to be loved by someone whether its by a friend, family, or boyfriend/girlfriend.  However break ups are imminent in any relationship, if not handled correctly.

What do you guys think about this video and its meaning? I’m going to speak on myself, I’m young, only 18, and the topic of love is sensitive because us young adults always think that we are in love, and give up so much during a relationship just to make our partner happy, only to see the relationship fail. So songs, like Pink’s, takes us back and explains all the feelings that we cannot speak ourselves.
So I'll repeat it: When all words fail, music speaks.
